There are some milestones you know are coming.
And then there are the ones that make you pause and think, are we really doing this?
This is one of them.
On 21 August, Ofumbi will take to the runway for the very first time at Bold Fashion Week.
We are only two years old. We are still learning. There is something wonderfully intimidating about putting a collection together and then handing it over to a runway, a room, an audience, letting the clothes speak for themselves.
I feel a little like a rookie.
But mostly, I feel ready.
This collection is an exploration of structure and movement, and the woman who can hold all of those things at once. It is, in many ways, an extension of what we have always wanted Ofumbi to be: clothes that don't ask a woman to become someone else, but help her return to herself fully.
Our first runway feels like a big step.
And we're very excited to take it.
